The Border Archive – The Forgotten Heroes
The Border Archive – The Forgotten Heroes. An implementation project in the intervention area ’Strong and Proud Community’ conducted from Nov ’23 – May ’26.
About the project

The portal will contain:
- 50 stories, personal portraits, and histories.
- Interactive map for geographical orientation.
- In-depth material with images, films, and texts.
It is intended for both the public and schools and will serve as teaching material.
Activities and goals that will be implemented during the project period include:.
- Collection of facts through interviews and archive visits.
- Production of films, map animations, and digital material.
- Creation of the web portal and its launch.
- Lectures for school classes.
Through this project, the applicants hope to preserve and disseminate important local history for future generations and strengthen local identity through a user-friendly and content-rich digital resource.
