Strong together, an implementation project in the intervention area ’Strong and proud community’ that will be carried out from spring ’24 – spring ’25.
About the project
The project aims to establish a gathering point for the community in the form of a barbecue area and to launch a website with descriptions of places in the community that have been provided with road signs and accompanying QR codes.
The relevant location around Lake Aplungen, west of Västra Ämtervik in Sunne municipality, consists, like many other small villages in the countryside, of places with historical and local names whose significance risks being forgotten over time. With the project, the aim is to pass on the knowledge and history of the places from the older generation to the younger, by marking about 30 places with QR codes that lead to a website with information about the current location.
Within the project, a gathering point will also be established in the form of a communal barbecue area that the community and the public are free to use.
