Purpose and goals The project aims to promote public health and increased physical activity in Munkfors by developing the arena area into a meeting place for exercise, community, and sports for all ages. The goal is to increase access to organized and meaningful physical activity for children, youth, and the elderly, strengthen community life, prevent sedentary behavior and lifestyle diseases, and increase Munkfors' attractiveness through developed camp and event activities.

Activities within the project

• Employment of a full-time coordinator responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on the project's activities as well as establishing long-term structures for the operations.

• School collaboration, including through an annual health week, to encourage children and youth to engage in physical activity and healthy habits.

• Regular activities for the elderly, focusing on both physical training and social community.

• Try-out days and activity days open to all target groups, to attract new participants and create engagement.

• Leader training and capacity-building initiatives for club leaders and volunteers, to strengthen community life and ensure high quality in the activities.

• Study visits and network building, with at least eight visits to other sports high schools, clubs, and initiatives such as Generation PEP, to gather inspiration and knowledge about successful methods.

• Development of the arena area into an attractive place for training camps and events, focusing on attracting external clubs and visitors.
