Sustainable Sport Fishing in Säffle
Sustainable Sport Fishing in Säffle. An implementation project in the intervention area ’Destination 7-sam Värmland’ that will be carried out from spring ’24 – spring ’25.
About the project
Through the project, Säffle municipality aims to improve information about sustainable fishing and fishing tourism and disseminate this in a clear and understandable way. Part of this work includes improving the signage at Ekenäs guest harbor, so that visitors can easily find relevant information.
Within the project, efforts will also be made to extend the tourist season in Ekenäs by increasing the number of visitors during spring and autumn. To achieve this, the project plans to collaborate with partners to put together and offer various package solutions that include accommodation and activities. The area will also be made more accessible by building a dock at the launch ramp, creating more parking spaces for boat trailers, and constructing a cleaning shed where anglers can take care of their catch.
