We rural builders Värmland
We Rural Builders Värmland is a project driven by Leader 7-sam and Leader Proximity. For two years, we work to highlight and make visible passionate individuals, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts who go the extra mile for their community – people who have dared to follow their dreams and chosen to live and work in the countryside of Värmland.
About the project
The goal of the project is to:
- inspire more to dare to take the step and realize their ideas
- create a positive and nuanced image of the countryside
- show that the countryside is an attractive place to live, thrive, and develop
- highlight the drive and competence that exists here.
What we do
In the project, we create meeting places in the form of rural builder days, where people from all over Värmland can meet, collaborate, and be inspired. These days will include lectures, workshops, and discussions that provide both energy and new knowledge.
We will also produce films, portraits, and stories from reality – where we highlight our rural builders and show how much is actually happening in the rural areas. The ambition is to make as many inspiring individuals as possible visible during the course of the project.

About the project
The project runs from 2025-2027 and is a public benefit collaboration project between Leader Närheten and Leader 7-sam, in the intervention area ’Strong and Proud Community’. The project is implemented in all seven municipalities of Leader 7-sam in Värmland.
